I started painting with watercolours when I was a child. But I was clueless, about various techniques or methods. But I loved painting with my brushes. I learnt by experimenting and by trying out on my own. I painted a lot and had no purpose back then. I never thought of art as a career. But one day, a friend suggested me to start an Instagram page for documenting my art. And that is how it all began. I started my Instagram page, @colourfulmystique posted all my work regularly. Gradually I started teaching in Skillshare and since then this small side hustle has turned into a self-employment alongside my aerospace systems office job.
@lisabebiart
I am inspired to create my artwork through travelling and investigation. I enjoy trying to get an overall sense of the place or subject matter and the knowledge and experience gained inspires me to paint my interpretation of it.
For the past 10+ years I have exhibited successfully at the Pittenweem Arts Festival, Pitlochry Theatre and recently in Miami, Florida. I also have a permanent exhibition at Grange Meadows Framing in Monifieth, a business I run with my husband Scott.Known for her use of vivid color, and contemporary feel for the landscape, many of Margaret's works are in private and corporate collections throughout UK, USA, Europe, Asia and Australia. Margaret enjoys working with designers and clients to develop bespoke artworks for a range of interiors.
Helen Dannelly studied painting at San Francisco State University and sculpture at the University of Minnesota. In 2009, she began working in encaustic (beeswax with resin) which she enjoys because of its versatility. An award-winning sculptor, Dannelly’s work has been in juried exhibitions both locally and nationally and is in private and public collections throughout the country. She teaches and works out of her studio in Chicago.
"I am interested in metamorphosis as a natural phenomenon as well as an interpersonal phenomenon. My work is inspired by the natural world: plant and sea life. Paintings resemble water, shadows, and leafy branches. My sculpture is nature-referential rather than replication; the pieces resemble objects in nature, but they are unique abstractions."I started painting seriously when I was 40. By seriously, I mean playfully.
My artistic medium is mixed media on canvas. I love losing myself in collage, and then sketching an image on top, and then painting over that. I take out all my energy with large paint brushes or rubber squeegees, and move acrylic paint across my many layers. I like how the collage always ends up peeking through the painting. You never know what you might find. It could be a Sufi poem, or a saucy romance novel.I've been lucky enough to make art for some really fun projects... like Trader Joe's greeting cards, The North Face t-shirts, and Alpinist Magazine.
Helen is an established, internationally represented artist based in the Yorkshire Wolds and West Wales, UK. After being asked to leave her art class at school because she "couldn't paint", Helen developed her own unique style, working intuitively with color and composition.
Kathryn Elliott Duncan has been involved with art materials for more than 20 years. As a ‘materials geek’ she has been interested in the creation of and inspiration from art, craft and fabric media.
Graduating with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking, she went on to work as a buyer and product developer in art materials. She has become well versed in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Encaustic, Gouache, Egg Tempera, Drawing media, Intaglio, Mono-printing, Etching, Sewing, Beading, Weaving and dying both as a user and an educator. To Kathryn, the most thrilling part of working with materials is drawing on this knowledge to “solve” artists’ dilemmas when trying to create a specific effect.

Lina Ferrara has a bachelor’s degree from PSU and has pursued post graduate study in art history and Italian at Bucknell University. During one of several visits to Florence, she studied gilding and furniture painting in the grotessca style popularized by Raphael.
Her paintings are held in private collections in the U.S., Italy, Holland and Germany, and include artworks in the White House, the Library of Congress and Woodmode Industries in Kramer, PA.
Lina is a popular workshop instructor and her weekly classes fill quickly. Lina has extensive experience as a painting teacher, having taught in such varied places as Canada, Italy, Holland, and most states in the U.S. She leads a yearly painting retreat to the Amalfi Coast, Italy. She says this about her vocation: “My purpose is both humble and powerful: I touch people’s lives by teaching them to paint. I teach technique, which in turn gives the tools of self-expression. It is expression that helps us to connect with each other. My gift is being able to guide and direct and free my students to put on canvas what they need to show the world. I am blessed to have been able to inspire people to create and to feel that surge of joy that comes when they bring an idea to life on canvas. The act of creation restores confidence, is a healthy escape from physical pain, and makes our little corner of the world a better place to live.”
Ming Franz is widely recognized for her "splash" painting, which combines primary watercolor with Chinese ink and brush. In recent years she has experimented with acrylics on watercolor paper and panels, developing her award-winning skills. Now she devotes her time, almost exclusively, to creating colorful abstract paintings which have garnered much attention. Among the many awards she has received is the esteemed Grand Prize in the International Artist Magazine’s Challenge in Abstract /Experimental Art.
Over the years Ming has studied with masters of traditional Chinese painting, along with studies at community colleges where she has lived in the US. In the 1990s she studied traditional “Splash Ink” with Master Paul Pei Ren Hau, and the teachings of Professor Arthur Mu Seng Kao of San Jose State University: East meets West in art.A highly-regarded instructor, Ming teaches workshops and conducts demonstrations at the New Mexico Art League, University of New Mexico Extension as well as in her studio in Edgewood, New Mexico. @ashleygabouryfineart
Even before graduating with a BFA in Studio Arts in 2003 at The University of Lethbridge, Ashley worked as an instructor at The Prairie Art Gallery in Grande Prairie, Alberta. For over 20 years she has established herself as a 2-dimensional art instructor, while simultaneously developing as a professional artist. Exuding enthusiasm and passion about drawing, she continually pushes the boundaries within her artwork. She creates in a myriad of mediums including but not limited to watercolor pencils, alcohol-based markers, acrylics and mixed media. More recently she has specialized her art training with GOLDEN and Silver Brush to become a GOLDEN Artist Educator and Silver Brush Educator.
Although her artwork has transitioned immensely over the years, the common thread has been her dedication to aestheticism and balance. Utilizing watercolor techniques with acrylics on canvas she imbues each piece with her high-contrast, low-key aesthetic. The bulk of her work has spiritual undertones, often playing with the dualism of light and dark, and the dichotomy of good and evil. Presently she works in tandem with The Yamnuska Sanctuary to create and sell artwork reflective of her goal to increase our understanding and spiritual connection to dogs and wolves. She characterizes herself as someone who wants to inspire others. Her mission statement: “Sharing my passion for creating and instructing art!”
Hello, I'm Swathi – a Product Manager by day and a watercolor artist by heart. Hailing from Bangalore, India, with my soul rooted in Mysore and Sirsi. Painting is my meditation, and watercolors have been my companions on a beautiful journey of self-discovery.
Who hasn’t dipped their brushes in paint as a child? I was no different, filling books with colors and creativity. Despite struggling with drawing and perspective, my love for painting never waned. Life's priorities shifted, but the pandemic reignited my passion with my mom’s old supplies.
Today, I embrace the joy and serenity that watercolors bring, learning and growing with each stroke. I believe in the magic of watercolors – they speak to you if you listen closely. I’m here to share that magic with you.My work is influenced by my life in East Africa and my love of the outdoors. I am attracted to light in nature and portray it with colour. I enjoy the challenge of depicting movement, invoking a sense of drama into a piece. My subjects are as varied as my techniques. More than an image, I seek to bring out an essence. Mingling textures with smooth flowing washes, I let my paintings evolve layer by layer.

He also volunteers time at the local community center and works with adults in alcohol and substance recovery as well as uprooted and traumatized children. Goguen also teaches a variety of classes at Kudzu Art Zone in Norcross, Ga. and leads workshops in the Southeast United States. Using mural work, art for entertainment and art therapy for healing, Goguen collaborates with school systems, local shops, and non-profits to help unify and most importantly “spread a message”.
Micah’s own artwork conveys his interest in people as he uses oil paints to mostly create expressive portraits. Bold color choices and organic movement signify his style and you can most often expect a large confrontational composition that forces the viewer to take notice and interact. Micah works in a range of media and teaches workshops in Oil and Acrylic Painting, Ceramics, Textiles and Drawing. He is working on several mural projects and also founded a group of artists which hang and display art in privately owned local businesses. Goguen teaches about 50 students atelier style in weekly classes in the Middle Georgia Area. The overall vision is to focus and rededicate back to a buy local, shop local mentality that strengthens community through unity and purpose.
ANTONIO GONZALEZ-GARCIA, born 1990 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain is a visual artist who received a BFA at Artes y Oficios School in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, and an extended education in Fine Arts, Cultural Anthropology and Aesthetics in the Ecole Supérieure D’Arts D’Avignon (ESAA), France.
His influences range from the Realists of Madrid, Spain (e.g. Antonio Lopez-Garcia) to the Slade School (U.K.), the Bauhaus School (Germany) and the Perceptual Painters (including those in his new hometown Columbus, Ohio.)
“My artwork reveres humanity. These paintings, though simple in content, are made with meticulous measurement, precise drawing, technical paint application and always, the occasional error I find humor in. Mistakes are one of the most beautiful parts of being a person. Although I am interested in complex human dynamics, like power, I want my work to be grounded and clear. I want it to be real. The table is a great place to study power, hence the inspiration for this show’s showcase series. I want the audience to be aware that the work is done by a human, for humans. Although my artistic influences are international, I want viewers to feel the warmth of my dining room table and the love of my own family and friends.”Antonio resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Rachel and their two dogs Petunia and Inu. In addition to teaching, his practice includes plein air studies, direct observation still life painting in the studio, and the use of photography to create paintings like the Around a Table series. He is an avid runner, a bountiful gardener, and a seasoned host, sharing homemade meals with Rachel and their friends. Antonio’s work has been recognized through national and international competitions and can be found in collections around the globe.
Animals embody happiness and love and have always been a very important part of my life. I have discovered that painting animals, especially dogs and cats, is my passion. Their unique energy and spirit is what makes them so much fun to paint. It's a joy to be able to capture their enthusiasm, their true individuality and their adorable love of life through my art. Sometimes I will enhance that vitality with an abundance of color, and other times I find my subject is best represented in softer pastel shades. Occasionally pet-parents prefer total reality and I also offer that interpretation. My pet art is in private collections nationwide.
About 20 years ago I discovered watercolor and that was when my love of creating art truly escalated to a passion. I am totally self-taught and I must admit my daughter's love of art was my inspiration. We are partners in our art gallery and workshop studio, Red Brick Gallery. We have been located near the beach in Ventura, California since 2006. I paint and teach every subject, not just animals. And I absolutely love what I do. Being able to share my love of watercolor painting with others is so rewarding. When I see someone get that spark of excitement as they begin to master the medium, I am as thrilled as they are.
Her expressive floral and whimsical mixed media fish art have been on exhibit not only in Studio C, but The Art Center of Corpus Christi, Rockport Center for the Arts, The Rockport Gallery, The Exchange, Gills Landscape & Nursery, Urbana Deli, Nueces Café and permanent display at Joe’s Crab Shack Lighthouse in Corpus Christi.
Randall M. Hasson brings a unique perspective to the Art world. His use of calligraphy combined with illustration creates a feast for the eyes and a depth of composition that can take the viewer to multiple levels of interpretation. The written word in text form is used in his paintings to create impact visually and emotionally, while inviting the viewer to “discover” elements over time that are not readily discernible at first glance. These paintings “inspire conversation” according to Randall’s collectors.
Randall studied art briefly in college before going into the business world as a sales representative for the insurance industry. After 12 years away from art, he was formally trained as a Calligrapher, and eventually returned to school to obtain a Bachelors in Fine Art. He has appeared on the faculty of sixteen International Lettering Arts conferences as a lecturer and teacher. The C.S. Lewis Foundation invited him to Oxford, England to speak about his painting during their Oxbridge conference. He has served as juror for art shows such as the 2009 five-state competition Texas and Neighbors and the Albuquerque State Fair.
"Symbolism is very important to me and to this end, the research of the text in combination with the illustrations and the overall composition play a vital role in my work. I want my paintings to have different levels for the viewer to experience, from visual to conceptual, so that one can continually discover new elements as time passes."Jeffrey Hirst has exhibited his work throughout the United States and Europe since 1990 and has his MFA from Louisiana State University and BFA from the University of Minnesota and his work has been showcased at both national and international venues.
Hirst has been a visiting artist at universities around the United States conducting painting and printmaking workshops and has taught workshops at NCSW-Bennington College in VT, Arrowmont School for the Arts in TN, Truro Center for the Arts in MA, Cullowhee Mountain Arts in NC, and has been an annual presenter at the International Encaustic Conference in MA.
In addition, Jefferfy is the owner of Hirst Printmaking, a printmaking shop specializing in intaglio, hybrid processes, screenprinting, and experimental approaches towards combining printmaking and painting. In 2005, he pioneered the process of combining silkscreen and encaustic painting and has conducted workshops on the process throughout the United States.I am….. a painter, a printmaker, a teacher, nomadic, restless, easily bored, curious, experimental, irreverent, untidy, loud….
My work is about journeys; those that I take and the journey that the artwork has been on in my studio. The textures, colours and structures of each environment dictate the development of my artwork which whilst predominately abstract are based on fleeting images, imagination and experiences. I invite you to pause a while, to take your own journey through the narratives I create.
Originally from South London I completed my BA (with honors) in Cambridge and post-graduate at Cambridge University. After many years teaching Art and Design I am now a full time artist and currently studying for my MA in Fine Art. In 2017 and 2018 I took the intensive programme offered by artist Nicholas Wilton, his approach enabled me to develop my individual way of working. In addition to creating, I hold a postgraduate teaching certificate from Cambridge University, teach a range of workshops in painting and printmaking and I give talks and demonstrations.
As an abstract artist, I work primarily in acrylics and mixed media collage.
I was born and raised near the small, rural town of Elberon, Iowa, where I grew up the eighth of ten children. I then moved to the Washington, DC area to do postgraduate work, then to Miami, Florida and later to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tiring of big city life, I moved to the small village of Norfolk, Connecticut, where I now live and work. My move to the country has had a big impact on my work.
Art courses make up only a part of my formal education. I studied drawing and painting at the Montgomery Community College in Rockville, Maryland, early in art career. My diverse educational experiences also include a Bachelor degree in Vocal Music and postgraduate studies in philosophy and theology as well as on-the-job training in marketing and graphic design. The paper cutouts of Matisse, the abstract expressionists, the color field painters of yesteryear as well as artists of today are all sources of inspiration to me. In both 2009 and 2010, I was awarded a one-month artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont.
As well as my studio practice, I also have an extensive art teaching practice and teach a variety of art courses both online and at the West Hartford Art League (West Hartford, CT), as well as weekend workshops. In 2019, I became a certified GOLDEN Artist Educator by Golden Artist Colors, Inc., in New Berlin, NY. In 2022, I became a certified Silver Brush Educator by Silver Brush Limited in Windsor, NJ.
Bachelor of Music (University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA) Studies in Theology (The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC) Art studies at Montgomery Community College (Rockville, MD)

Rosie displays her work on a permanent basis at The ARTery at Front Street located in downtown Dayton and the Village Artisans in Yellow Springs.Sandra Iafrate works primarily in oil, using intricate compositions and combination of contemporary and classical techniques. Her portrayal of nature, floral and foliage takes on complex compositions alive with colour, which seem to go beyond the boundaries of the canvas. She has recently been awarded International Artists Magazine’s Finalist in their garden and flower competition for her work Lilies on Black which was part of a contemporary series of oil and acrylic oversized botanical paintings on canvas. Her work continuously evolves as new works take on new aspects of her technique discoveries.
"I always try to find a new process but still include traditional oil painting. It is difficult for me to paint the same way twice. There is always something I do that changes and it seems to keep the process fresh and interesting."
Sandra is a founding member of the Silver Brush Educator Program. She is able to teach you how to select, care for and use artist brushes while also explaining the complex make-up and use of paints, pigments, mediums and material in a safe studio environment.Sonya is a self-taught mixed media artist living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She spent her childhood in small towns and on farms in Northern Alberta.
Iconic Canadian skies on endless fields pocked with deserted homesteads and thin woodlands developed her deep love for both nature and the abandoned. As a child, she and her dog would journey along dirt roads and train tracks and fields and forests in search of adventure, empty farms and the small treasures she would surely find there. Armed with her faded rucksack, rope, and a hammer, Sonya would unearth jewels of old jars, worn egg shiners, wooden handles made smooth by toil and tractor parts buried like fossil bones in the dust of topsoil. She discovered every abandoned farm was a place of memory, a history of the forgotten lives of the people who once lived there.
Still an avid explorer, artist, and storyteller, it is Sonya’s inspiration to give sense, scope, and remembrance to the lives of these ancestors and originators of the Canadian pioneering spirit. She captures the pureness and beauty or harshness and dark realities of nature, places, people and things that are often never seen or overlooked. My two favorite traditional mediums are cut paper collage and acrylic on canvas. I am a workshop instructor in a variety of venues, teaching playful art classes for both children and adults, live at my home studio and online.
I am inspired by the natural world around me, mostly leaves, flowers, rocks and the things of the Earth. I want people to feel like they get a break from real life when they look at my work. The dot work I finish with is very methodical and meditative for me, but I also mean it to be magical because I think we all need a little magic in our lives. People tell me that my trees are soothing to look at and that makes me feel really good.
Art was something that came to me during a rough period of my life, and it quite literally healed me. It continues to be the place where I feel both grounded and enchanted. Art has super powers like that.Jeremy Jonathan is known for his love for nature-inspired art such as florals, sceneries, and calligraphy. He started his watercolor journey actively in early 2017. Jeremy aspires to build an art school in his hometown of Jakarta, Indonesia to educate and grow the art community there.
"Never stop learning" is a motto her holds dear as he continues to expand his knowledge and share it through his followers on social media and by teaching workshops locally and internationally, both in-person and online.

Her knowledge of painting techniques will inspire you and help any level of painter develop their creativity.
“Movement, Color and Balance are the life of my acrylics, each painting explores how these dynamic qualities can interact with one another and create a sense of harmony.”
Jen describes her work as “Color-Scapes” rooted in elements of nature focusing on how color interacts with one another through movement and balance. She chooses to paint a wide variety of subjects, the two main bodies of work she is currently focusing are her “Local Color Scapes” and her “Galaxy Paintings.” Her bold use of color and a sense of whimsy are the main elements that tie her wide variety of artwork together.Sally Lynn MacDonald is a representational artist working in a range of media whose career started out in high-tech programming and branched into a career in the art materials industry. As a result, she often mixes her love of creating art with her high-tech side – blending these in what she playfully calls her Anarchivist ‘studio lab’.
Every now and then her large-format printer is subjected to printing on a surface that is definitely not listed in the owners’ manual. She loves to experiment with color and connection through historical and architectural references while putting the faces and facades of the past into current expression.
A traveler by nature, her goal is to convey her experiences of time and place through the layering of art materials and surfaces. As an instructor her goal is to help her students see their daily lives through a new lens of creative expression and limitless possibility.Based in Connecticut, Sally Lynn travels throughout the United States, Canada and Europe year-round to teach and demonstrate. Este MacLeod’s paintings are informed by the real and the imaginary. Her background in textile and ceramic design is noticeable in the stylised, abundant and colourful forms used in still life, landscape and floral paintings. Although shapes are distorted and altered, there is a strong sense of the familiar. The variety of techniques Este uses to layer colour and shapes adds an ethereal element to her work.
Paintings are inspired by travel, nature, dreams, seasons, sentiments and thoughts as well as everyday surroundings. Working intuitively, Este allows a painting to develop over time. Observation and drawing are important parts of the creative process. By experimenting with the layering of colours, patterns, textures and mark making, and by using her trademark floral and simplified plant forms, Este’s work always retain a freshness. The creating process often involves painting over areas of detail and colour, revealing just a section of what was painted below. These vibrant and energetic artworks are presented to convey intrinsic beauty, a feeling, a memory of a place or an impression.

Bella has been a curious creative since she came into this world. Growing up in the Silicon Valley, she looked forward to gymnastics and dance classes at a small studio next to the R Cali Brothers grain mill in Cupertino. Her mother encouraged her to take up piano and sewing but Bella gravitated towards drawing, painting and collage though didn’t pursue classes to develop her natural skills until later in life. Instead she focused on practical and useful curriculum towards getting “a real job”. Through her 20+ year career in the high tech industry as a sales and marketing professional in the Bay Area, she engaged her right brain with night/weekend classes in massage, sound healing certification at CIIS, art therapy at the Tamalpa Institute in Marin and achieved an Integrative coaching certification in 2002 from Debbie Ford (now known as the Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching). She has been studying energy, frequency and esoteric healing modalities since 2006 and continues to grow as an intuitive through her work as a Spirit Coach®.

When she is not teaching or creating art, she is helping other artists up level their brand with exciting and relevant marketing strategies, employing her innovation and skills from her previous life.Bella’s work has been seen in galleries in Montana, New Mexico and in private collections throughout the world. She remains curious about life, as well as art, and discovering each day anew.
I maintain a studio on Long Island, New York, working in watercolor and acrylics for their quick drying time, and palette knife oil painting for its freshness and spontaneity.
In past years I studied at The Art Students League in Manhattan and taught drawing and painting at 92Y in Manhattan. Now I teach at The Nassau County Museum of Art and Mills Pond House historical site and gallery in Smithtown, NY, and on Skillshare.com.
Exhibits where my work has been featured include, Firefly Gallery in Northport, The Art Students League in Manhattan, The Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport Long Island, and The Long Island Museum. What I am looking to do as an artist is to express my voice, and since my work is representational in nature but still very eclectic, I like to experiment with different mediums and styles. As people we are fluid, dynamic, ever changing. My art will change because I will change. Ultimately I believe that whatever creative expression you give to the world -- it is, and can only be, a reflection of yourself.
I have always loved to draw, but I got really interested in it in 2017. After trying various materials such as acrylic, ink, markers, I was presented with an old set of the Neva palette of 24 colors and I decided to try working in watercolor. Very soon my life turned upside down - I fell in love with this material and decided to conquer it in my favorite ways.
After many lessons, trial and error, I finally tamed this difficult material and began to find my way in the watercolor world, painting different pictures, from flowers to portraits. And somehow unexpectedly my pictures became cold and Northern.
I have always been attracted by the majestic landscapes of Scandinavia, the fishing houses on the shores of the North Seas and the inhabitants of cold waters. In my watercolors, I try to convey the power and beauty of the most picturesque places for me. They symbolize silence and tranquility, they move consciousness to where the soul connects with nature, which for me, as an artist, is a very important factor in the development of a person.
My paintings are in private collections in the USA, Iceland, Germany, Mexico, France, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, Ireland, Great Britain, Norway and Finland.Participated in various international exhibitions and biennials.
I am a non-objective, abstract artist employing an intuitive and expressive approach to painting. I use automatism and gestures to unearth internal states of being and to respond to external stimuli. I am inspired by what makes me feel most alive.
I approach a work with immediacy as each layer, mark or brush stroke informs the next step. Art making demands a certain kind of surrendering and a willingness to let be. I experiment with line, texture, pattern, layers and energy. The process is cathartic and my desire is for my work to evoke and connect to an emotion or memory in the viewer.

kristenolsonstone
Kristen Olson Stone grew up in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C. with a sincere appreciation for art and music. The daughter of two classical musicians, she spent time learning to play piano, violin, viola, and classical guitar. Although she loved music, her real passion has always been that of drawing and painting. Inspired by her grandmother, also a painter, she attended art school at The University of Mary- land in College Park, The Art Students League, NYC, The California Art Institute in Los Angeles, Otis Par- sons, Los Angeles and Santa Monica College. Classically trained, she enjoyed painting people and portraits but her love of nature steered her towards the painterly style of impressionism studying the works of Claude Monet, John Singer Sargent, and Joaquin Sorolla, to name a few.
Continually following her passion, her artistry and devotion to all things beautiful continues to emerge. A meticulous artist, Kristen enjoys painting a wide variety of scenes, no subject is off limits. Alison Orchard is an artist inspired by nature and passionate about painting. As a teenager she attended her first course at St. Ives School of Painting, working ‘Plein Air’ on the cliffs, life drawing and talking art in the Sloop Inn, with the company of Roy Ray and others. This sparked the dream of becoming an artist and so began a life-long love of the Cornish landscape.
She travelled the traditional route of art school, studying at Epsom School of Art & Design (Foundation Diploma) and Harrow College, University of Westminster (B.A. hons). Alison enjoyed success as a commercial illustrator and designer, before launching her fine art career with a debut solo exhibition 'Arvor' at GalleryOne in 2009. Alison paints direct from the landscape, both at home in Surrey and along the Cornish coastline, using these initial experiences to inspire the large gestural paintings created in her studio. In 2012, she was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Art. Alison's work now has a growing following and is held in private collections. Her paintings have been shown at prominent art fairs, with exhibitions in London & South East England, Canada, Guernsey & Portugal, including at The Royal College of Art, The V&A museum & The Society of Women Artists, London.
She now runs her own gallery alongside her working studio at Applegarth Farm, in Grayshott, Hampshire. The space is filled with her gutsy, gestural coastal and abstract landscapes alongside prints, ceramics and cards. Visitors to the gallery can enjoy seeing her work in progress in the studio, as well as browsing the carefully curated selection of work by established potters and craftspeople. Alison runs a limited number of teaching workshops in the historic venue of Farnham pottery.“I have been studying changing landscapes, the sketched lines on the sand, cloud movements, the tidal shift; trying to tell that story and bring that energy into my paintings.” Alison Orchard

Her career was on an up trend and was auditing both local and international companies but as years went by, she felt that deep sense of unfulfillment in her heart. Until one day, she found the joy in painting with watercolors and at the same time enjoy mentoring the young people in their church youth ministry.
Her passion to serve and paint grew deeper which led her to make the bold decision to leave her flourishing corporate job and pursue two things. First, she wanted to serve as a full-time volunteer in her youth ministry where she mentors young people to discover their purpose and second, she wanted to pursue her passion for painting.
Over the years, she dedicated herself in improving her gift and hone her skills by putting high premium on constant never ending learning. She attends various watercolor masterclasses by local and international artists, she also holds her own workshops both in person and online, and she also conducts charity workshops as a way of serving others. Her goal is to continually enrich her gift, expand herself and fulfill her ultimate purpose of blessing other people through painting- inspiring them to discover not just their passion but most importantly their purpose that would give them real joy and fulfillment in life.

As a mixed-media artist, I create my art using acrylic paint, encaustic (molten beeswax) and collage on various substrates such as wood, canvas and paper.Primarily working on commission, I enjoy collaborating with clients to create artwork that leads me to the next step in the progression of my process and development while complementing an existing space.

"I am inspired by colors and textures in nature, especially native plants and landscape. Working in fluid acrylics provides me with an element of spontaneity. I start painting on a wet canvas, pouring colors, letting the paint and water move and blend. I tilt the canvas to create more movement and continue to build up layers of color. Creating art this way is always an experiment. The final art usually is something completely different than what I initially had in mind."Born and raised an hour north of Manhattan in the Hudson River Valley region of New York state, I have been doodling since I can remember, drawing in notebooks (instead of my doing my algebra) and in the artistic ZONE. I studied a bit of design in college and then followed my folks to Florida and got sidetracked raising a family (kept the creative juices flowing with kid projects, classroom crafting and the occasional painting).
I became more serious about my art in the last few years as I find myself with an empty nest and more time to create and MAKE ART. Finally overcoming my fear of public speaking, I now love to inspire others to find their own creativity through teaching art classes and sharing my passion.
My specialty is “one of a kind” pet portraits, working in acrylics, pastels and oils.... whichever best suits the subject matter. The biggest compliment to me is getting an emotional response from my client and know that I have done my job well when they are literally moved to tears.Frances Tyler is an award-winning international Fine Artist. Amy Shawley Paquette is a visual artist whose paintings are inspired by the natural world. A move to the Virginia countryside after 15 years in big cities was a strong influence on the direction of Amy's paintings. Surrounded by broad expanses of nature, she became an avid bird watcher and began visually documenting the variety of habitats she explored. Amy is fascinated by the personalities of wildlife, the effects of light on a landscape, and intricate details of ecosystems. Her goal as an artist is to capture these stories in paint and evoke a memory of place.
Amy works with a range of mediums to create her paintings, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor, and often paints over uniquely textured acrylic grounds with a layering process that combines both additive and subtractive techniques to develop a history of surface. She is currently creating an ongoing series of bird, botanical and mini landscape paintings that highlight her favorite encounters with the beauty of the outdoors.
Amy teaches art workshops nationally, offers online courses, and published her first book on painting in 2015.I work on a series of paintings at the same time and begin with no end point in mind which allows each painting to develop its own unique history. Working on wooden panels gives a resistance for drawn marks bringing the freedom of my sketchbook work. As layers build, this tougher base allows me to sand and scrape back revealing previous colours and this keeps a sense of surprise and spontaneity in the finished painting.
At the start I paint intuitively, adjusting the composition and choosing bold and contrasting colour. At some point there will be a moment where the painting starts to make suggestions and I have to ‘catch’ the clues it’s giving me.
It is essential to balance the early freedom with a sensitive and analytical approach to guide the painting to a resolution.Towards the end the pace slows; changes become more considered and the colours become more refined, but I’m mindful to keep taking daring risks right until the end so the painting keeps that feeling of energy.

Marilyn creates paintings about booze and wine, whiskey and brands and coffee and anything else that strikes her fancy. From beer to martinis she loves the wavy lines of her art recreating her trips to Venice Italy and the reflections in the water.
After 25 years as an award-winning portrait photographer in Miami, Florida, she turned to painting first portraits and then subjects. She developed a passion for mixed media which incorporates a long process of multiple photo references which she synthesizes into one image and digitally paints. That is printed on high quality canvas and then enhanced with acrylic paints and mediums, dyes, pigments and a variety of other materials. This method creates many layers of texture to each painting.
